World Children’s Day 2026

World Children’s Day is celebrated annually on November 20th to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improve child welfare. Established by the UN in 1954, this day commemorates the 1959 Declaration and 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child. It serves as a global “day of action” for children, by children, highlighting critical issues like education, safety, and health.

International Day of Older Persons 2026

The International Day of Older Persons is celebrated annually on October 1st to honor the contributions of older people and raise awareness about issues affecting their lives, such as elder abuse and aging.
